Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Merry-Christmas-comics

Some mullahs would have us believe that as Muslims, we cannot and should not wish Merry Christmas. I don’t believe God is xenophobic. Or that He would be so much as feel threatened or insulted if His creations wish each other to celebrate any kind of festival.

So here we go. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all. Have a good one and be safe always.

May 2013 be good to all of us and hope that the Mayan’s calendar did not start from year zero. Smile

Logically, shouldn't it start from year 1?

Let us all understand clearly that it is not Allah who forbids the wishing of non-Muslims but a "scholar" of the 13th century.

"The fatwa against wishing well for non-Muslim celebrations is rooted in the work of the 13th-century reformist scholar Ibn Taimiyah (d. 1328), who, in his 'Iqtida al-Sirat al-Mustaqim,' denounces as 'haram' to practice of Muslims wishing Christians a Merry Christmas because this was considered to be a form of tacit endorsement of the Christian faith."

Isn't Jesus = Nabi Isa in Islam?
Wrong to celebrate your Prophet's birthday?
